George Gilliam (who is a former law enforcement officer for one of the appellees, the Town of Havana, Florida) appeals a non-final order denying his motion to quash process served upon him and denying his motion to dismiss. Concluding that, under the instant circumstances, the "John Doe" complaints were insufficient to commence an action against Gilliam and to confer personal jurisdiction over him, we reverse the ruling that denied the motion to quash. See Grantham v. Blount, Inc., 683 So. 2d 538 (Fla. 2d DCA 1996).
